About Martin

MartinMartin Borja is a Master Sculptor. Born in Santo Domingo, Ecuador and educated at the Art Institute in Quito, Ecuador, he has been sculpting professionally for over 35 years. He also earned a Mechanical Engineering degree. Mr. Borja migrated to the United States early in his career to further develop his technique and broaden the market for his work.

Mr. Borja's media consists of welded manganese and bronze with intermingled semi-precious stones, basalt rock, and crystals. His subjects are trees, birds, and marine life in natural settings. A woman, child, or pet is often added for warmth. These pieces range in size from approximately 12 inches, perfect for an office or display case, to a spectacular 8 feet tall for grand entryways and gardens.

For the bulk of his career, Mr. Borja's work has been exclusively available through select art shows and exhibits in Michigan, Arizona, and California. At these shows, his work has been purchased by diplomats, actors/entertainers, and politicians from around the world. His work has also been purchased by companies and government agencies for display in their buildings and public spaces. Mr. Borja has been commissioned to design special pieces (like the large eagle seen in on the gallery page for individuals and companies as well.

Mr. Borja's studio is located in a small town 30 miles north of Phoenix, Arizona. Though he prefers to interact with his patrons face-to-face, this website was created in response to the overwhelming interest from clients to see, share, and order Mr. Borja's work online.
